On March 31, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the the42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and Xploration Awesome Planet and Xploration Earth 2050 received nominations. The two series are part of Xploration Station, Fox TV Station’s two-hour block of STEM programming airing on Saturday mornings.

Philippe Cousteau, the host of Xploration Awesome Planet and grandson of legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau, received a nomination for Outstanding Lifestyle/Travel/Children’s Series Host. Xploration Earth 2050, which explores what the world might look like in 35 years, received a nomination for Outstanding Special Class Series.
